Tile Maintenance

Maintaining tiles is essential for preserving the aesthetic appeal and longevity of your surfaces. Regular cleaning is the first line of defense against dirt, grime, and stains. Use a mild detergent or a specially formulated tile cleaner to prevent damage to the tile's surface. Avoid abrasive scrubbers that could scratch the tiles, and instead, opt for soft brushes or sponges. Periodically sealing grout lines helps prevent discoloration and the growth of mold and mildew. Promptly address spills and stains to prevent them from becoming ingrained. Additionally, be cautious with heavy or sharp objects that could chip or crack the tiles. By adopting a proactive approach to tile maintenance, you can ensure that your tiles remain not only visually pleasing but also durable for years to come. Also- check the quality of the silicone in all corners or your shower, is it in good shape? If not, scrape away the old silicone and replace with a new, bathroom rated silicone. Corners are the most common places for grout to crack, protection in these areas will help keep your shower waterproof for years to come!
